February Print on Demand Income Report

It’s that time again—another monthly Etsy Print on Demand income report! February was a much slower month. In fact, it was my slowest month since July 2024! My first month under 5-figures since July 2024.

But, that’s just part of the entrepreneur journey. Some months are incredible, and some months remind you why consistency is key. I’m still so proud of how I’ve built up my shop such that having a $7K month is considered SLOW!

If you’ve been feeling frustrated by slow sales, you’re not alone. But I want to show you why staying the course is what really matters. You’re building something incredible that will change your life.

February 2025 Revenue Breakdown

My total revenue was $7,613.66. That does not equal profit. My profit margin is typically about 45%, making my total profit ~$3,426.15 after the costs of Printify’s production and shipping are deducted.

I also have additional business expenses unrelated to my shop, and I reinvest in education and other tools to help me grow my business. But, I want to give you a sense of what the profit is take home after the actual production and shipping costs.

The most interesting part? My traffic grew by 30% compared to last year, but my revenue only increased by 9%. That tells me a few things:

  1. More people are finding my shop—which is great!
  2. Etsy’s algorithms are always shifting, so consistent keyword research and product testing remain key.

When I zoomed out and looked at the bigger picture, I realized that despite slower sales, my shop is still growing—just at a steadier pace.

What I Did Differently This Month

Honestly? Nothing major.

I stayed committed to my D.R.E.A.M. Method, which means I focused on my mindset, kept researching low competition keywords, and executed consistently.

If you’ve ever felt like you’re doing everything right and still experiencing slow months, know that you’re not alone. This is normal.

The key is to keep showing up and doing the work—even when the results aren’t immediate.

Etsy Sales Are Unpredictable—And That’s Okay

One of the hardest lessons in print-on-demand is accepting that some days will be crickets, while others will completely surprise you.

For example, in March so far, I had a two-sale day, which felt discouraging—then the next day, I hit 10 sales before noon.

Etsy success isn’t linear. The most important thing is to keep listing, testing, and optimizing so that when demand shifts in your favor, your shop is ready to capture those sales.

What Else I’ve Been Working On: Shopify & Facebook Ads

On top of maintaining my Etsy shop, I’ve been rebranding and relaunching my standalone Shopify site. This has been a whole new challenge, but an exciting one.

Why am I building a Shopify store?

Etsy is incredible because it provides built-in traffic, but they have full control of your store and can shut it down at any moment. There are many horror stories of shops getting shut down for no reason, with no way to get in touch with anyone at Etsy to help rectify their situation.

When you have a six-figure shop, and you rely on that income, it is better to diversify so that if one shop goes down, you can rely on the other.

With Shopify, you have more control over your shop. That said, Shopify comes with its own learning curve, particularly when it comes to driving traffic.

Unlike Etsy, where customers are already searching for products, Shopify requires external marketing efforts—which means I’m diving deep into Facebook Ads to test what works.

Some key lessons so far:

  • Conversion rate optimization is everything—Your site needs clear trust signals, high-quality images, and easy-to-click buy buttons.
  • Facebook Ads are a science—and science is hard. However, I’m learning that it’s all about testing, tweaking, and learning from the data. And, I can do that!

I’ll be sharing more about this journey as I go, so if you’re interested in building your own Shopify store alongside Etsy, stay tuned!

What Makes All the Difference?

If there’s one thing that changed my trajectory faster than anything else, it was learning to find what people were already searching for before I designed anything.

I package up exactly what I research every month inside The Opportunity Report, the niches, the demand signals, the products worth creating right now. It’s $9/month and you can grab it here.

Final Thoughts: Keep Moving Forward

February was a slower month, but that doesn’t mean failure—it means I’m still in the game.

Entrepreneurship isn’t about having huge months all the time. It’s about consistency, adaptability, and the willingness to keep learning.

If you had a slow February, too, take a deep breath. You’re not doing it wrong. The key is to stay in motion—because the next big month might be right around the corner.

The Best SEO and Design Tools for Your Print on Demand Shop:

These are the only tools I use for my shop!

Canva: Canva is the most amazing tool. It is user friendly, and always improving! The tools that Canva has have evolved so much since I first started using it in 2022 for the better. I use it almost everyday. I use it to create designs, to edit AI designs, and to create product mockups.

Ideogram: Ideogram is an AI design tool that generates high-quality graphics with exceptionally accurate text rendering, making it ideal for creating quote-based and typography-focused designs. I also use the prompt based editing for mockups, making it a wonderful alternative to Photoshop, which is expensive.

E-Hunt: E-Hunt is fantastic for competitor research and some light keyword research. My favorite aspect of E-Hunt is the Chrome extension that allows you to see the sales amount for an individual item on Etsy. Check out this article to see an example.

eRank: eRank is an SEO data tool that also allows you to search the competition and will also give you key words for your Etsy listing. It is also a low cost tool that will help you find low competition and highly searched niches.

Printify: Printify is a print-on-demand (POD) service that allows individuals and businesses to create and sell custom-designed products without needing to manage inventory or handle fulfillment. I put my designs on products offered by Printify. When an item sells, Printify prints and ships to my customer.

Vela: Vela is the bulk editing tool I use to manage hundreds of Etsy and Shopify listings without losing my mind. You can update videos, photos, titles, tags, descriptions, and prices across your entire shop in minutes, and your VA can build listings inside Vela without needing your Etsy login. Read more about Vela here.

Shopify: Shopify is what I recommend when you are ready to scale beyond Etsy and diversify where your products sell. The fees are lower, you own your customer data (emails), and it integrates directly with Printify and Vela. It is the easiest way to build a standalone storefront that you control. Read more about Etsy v Shopify here.

FAIRE: FAIRE is the wholesale marketplace I use to sell my products to retail, brick and mortar stores. If you want to scale your shop and add a wholesale revenue stream to your POD business, FAIRE is a great option. Read more about FAIRE here.
