Etsy Print-On-Demand Income Report for October 2024
When I first started my shop in October of 2022, I wanted to know whether making money with an Etsy print-on-demand shop was even possible.
I wanted to find an Etsy print-on-demand income report from real people, with 9-5 jobs, who were running successful shops.
I couldn’t find that, but now that my shop has reached six figure status, I wanted to share my print on demand income reports with you as a way to inspire and motivate others.
You can do this too!
I’ve shared my quarterly income reports in other articles. Now, I plan to share monthly reports. It is important to understand that income varies widely month-to-month for Etsy print-on demand.
I know other sellers get concerned when they don’t have consistent income month to month. I think you will find that in any entrepreneurial pursuit, revenue ebbs and flows.
For example, my income for October 2024 was lower than August 2024 ($13K+), and September 2024 ($12K+).
However, it was still great progress when I look back on my first months as an Etsy seller making 3 figures a month.

This was my third 5-figure revenue month in a row! It was about $2,000 lower than my August revenue and $1,000 lower than my September revenue.

October is a weird month and it was in 2023. Last year, I was ready to give up on print-on-demand.
I made $1,978 for the month, but felt like I worked incredibly hard. I wanted to scale, but didn’t feel like it was possible.
Then, sales at the end of November and December really took off. That is when I knew that all of the research, new designs, new tools (Midjourney/AI), and time that I put in was going to pay off.
I learned a lot of lessons along the way. I know that I could build and scale a shop faster this time around. New sellers have to make lots of mistakes to finally see success.
I am glad that I stuck it out because the freedom on the other side was worth it.
This side hustle takes time. I want to be honest about that. Many Youtubers will tell you that you can go to six figures as soon as you start. Others who may have had success quickly, will try to make the claim that it is quick money.
Etsy print-on-demand is incredibly rewarding, but it is not a get rich quick scheme. You must take the time to learn and execute. But, once you execute in the right way consistently over time, you will succeed and make money.

My shop supports my financial freedom and location freedom, and I’m ecstatic about what it has done for my life, and what it could do for yours!
My shop has enabled me to invest more money, travel more, and move abroad. It has allowed me to pay for emergency flights home for me and my family, in business class.
This side hustle has paid for my rent in the luxurious building I live in. It has paid for children’s tuition and has allowed me to invest in the stock market and back in my business.
What is Print-on-Demand?
Print on demand is a business model where items like clothing, accessories, and home decor are produced only after a customer places an order.
The best part? You can manage your print-on-demand store from anywhere in the world, giving you location freedom! Senior leaders and CEOs can keep their return to office mandates. Etsy is another way to create an income from home.

Here Are The Tools I Use for My Shop:
Canva: Canva is the most amazing tool. It is user friendly, and always improving! The tools that Canva has have evolved so much since I first started using it in 2022–for the better. I use it almost everyday. I use it to create designs, to edit AI designs, and to create product mockups.
Creative Fabrica: Creative Fabrica is a design marketplace that has a ton of fonts, graphics, and more that you can use in your designs. They even have pre-made designs that you can use for POD. Simply filter for POD to find any design that you can add to your POD product and sell!
Midjourney: Midjourney is an AI image tool that blows my mind every time I use it. It takes some time to get the prompts down. Once you play with it, you will get better at creating images and art to include on your print on demand products.
E-Hunt: E-Hunt is fantastic for competitor research and some light keyword research. My favorite aspect of E-Hunt is the Chrome extension that allows you to see the sales amount for an individual item on Etsy. Check out this article to see an example.
eRank: eRank is an SEO data tool that also allows you to search the competition and will also give you key words for your Etsy listing. It is also a low cost tool that will help you find low competition and highly searched niches.
Printify: Printify is a print-on-demand (POD) service that allows individuals and businesses to create and sell custom-designed products without needing to manage inventory or handle fulfillment. I put my designs on products offered by Printify. When an item sells, Printify prints and ships to my customer.
Conclusion
This side hustle has become a fabulous source of income and has been so much fun to build. In 2023, my first full year on Etsy, I made $29,000 in revenue. In 2024, I have made over $100,000!
